episode (2024). Beautiful That Way Written by Miley Cyrus, Lykke Li, and Andrew Wyatt Starring Miley Cyrus. When I heard about this movie, I immediately thought of this year’s "Substance". Pamela Anderson and Demi Moore are actresses who were big stars in their youth, and their careers «were closely linked.» with their looks and stopped getting roles in prestigious Hollywood productions after reaching a certain age, but this year they got roles that allowed them to be on the lips of moviegoers again.
In Las Vegas
But Demi turned out phenomenally in a very original and bold body horror film and her role will be remembered as one of the best comebacks in film history. Pamela, on the other hand… well, she’s great in this film and proves that she can be a good dramatic actress, but she’s held back by the film itself, which is too conventional, doesn’t take risks and doesn’t delve into the psychology of the main character, not to mention the completely unwritten supporting characters. There are some interesting plot threads, including: character clashes, whose performances in various clubs are art and which are pornography, but these interesting moments are quickly cut short by sentimental and uninteresting scenes, for example, Pamela dancing in the street.
I also don’t understand why the shots at the beginning of the film are sometimes so strangely blurry?
I didn’t like Jamie Lee Curtis in this film, who acts as if she’s in a completely different film than the others. The plot is quite predictable — we know how the conflicts between the characters will be resolved and that certain elements introduced at the end will return. I think it was supposed to be part of the artistic vision, but it’s done so clumsily and inconsistently that it feels more like an accident. But at least The Last Showgirl is only an hour and 25 minutes long, so it’s not a frustrating experience.
