Clotaire, a rebellious neighborhood teenager, falls in love with his classmate Jackie, but gang violence leads him down a darker and more destructive path. After years of separation, the star-crossed lovers discover that every path they take leads them back together. Malik Frikah, who plays 17-year-old Clotaire in this film, was a world champion breakdancer at the age of 10. One of the characters wears a Rolex Daytona Ceramic in the 1990s, but the watch was only released in 2016. Mes MainsMusic Gilbert BécaudWords, Pierre Delanoë. The film is very long and quite uneven between the first part, where the characters are teenagers, and the second part, ten years later. The acting is really good. The young actors are fresh and authentic. Adèle and François are at the top. Alain Chabat is a big teddy bear and as usual we want to beat Benoit Poolvoorde. The background music really creates an 80s tone in a small French industrial village. The songs are mainly British and American, but rooted in the era. We end the film with a smile on our faces. It is not the best film of the year, but a beautiful, crazy and passionate love story. Despite the irregularity, we follow Clotaire and Jackie until the end.
